The White poplar 'Nivea' (Populus alba) is a broad, roundish large tree that produces inconspicuous or greenish-yellow flowers arranged in catkins. They appear from March to April. These produce white fruits. The White poplar 'Nivea' also bears roundish, green-white leaves. Its bark is silver-white and longitudinally furrowed. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of around 35 metres and is around 18 metres wide. The White poplar 'Nivea' makes no special demands on the soil.
