Lawson cypress 'Ivonne' is a conical and upright growing large shrub with an opaque crown. It usually reaches a height of 4 - 5 m and is approx. 1 - 1.5 m wide.

The Lawson cypress 'Ivonne' is evergreen. Its needles are yellow, opposite, scale-like.

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Ivonne' is a shallow-rooting plant and, depending on the soil, forms finely branched roots.

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected position.

The Lawson cypress 'Ivonne' has good frost hardiness.

The plant has a medium water requirement.

This plant is susceptible to snow pressure. In snowy areas, it is therefore advisable to wrap the branches with string. Otherwise, they may split apart and not fully recover. When the snow season is over, the strings must of course be removed again.

Pruning, ideally from February to March, is advisable for this plant.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the ground is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
