Weigela florida 'Nana Variegata'

Weigela 'Nana Variegata' is a bushy, broad and compact small shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.5 - 2 m and is approx. 1 - 2.5 m wide.

The shoots of Weigela florida 'Nana Variegata' are pithy.

High leaf ornamental value. The deciduous leaves of the Weigela 'Nana Variegata' are green, ovate, opposite, with entire margins and a white edge. They are about 6 - 10 cm in size. Long adherent.

The pink-coloured, funnel-shaped flowers appear from May to June.

Weigela florida 'Nana Variegata' is a shallow-rooting plant.

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

The Weigela 'Nana Variegata' has good frost hardiness.

Normal soil.

The plant needs plenty of water. Do not allow the soil to dry out.

- A slow-release fertiliser can be used in spring. This releases the nutrients slowly and continuously so that the plant is evenly supplied over a longer period of time.
- Watering less frequently, but thoroughly and thoroughly, encourages the plant roots to penetrate deeper into the soil. This helps the plant to survive periods of drought.
- Thinning pruning is recommended, in which only the shoots that are too dense are removed.

This plant is tolerant of pruning.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
