The Goat willow 'Pendula' (Salix caprea) is an overhanging small tree that produces silvery, catkin-shaped flowers with a light fragrance. They appear from March to April. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 m and grows to approx. 1 m wide.

Growth

Goat willow 'Pendula' is a small tree that grows overhanging. It usually reaches a height of 0.8 - 1.5 m and is approx. 0.8 - 1 m wide. As a rule, it grows 0.4 - 1 m per year.

Flower

The silvery flowers of the Goat willow 'Pendula' appear in catkins from March to April. These are slightly scented.

Root

Salix caprea 'Pendula' is a shallow-rooting plant and, depending on the soil, forms finely branched roots.

Location

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.
