Growth

Fly honeysuckle 'Clavey´s Dwarf' is a bushy and dense growing shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.5 - 2 m and is approx. 1.5 - 2 m wide. Slow growing. Usually grows 15 - 20 cm per year.

The deciduous leaves of the Fly honeysuckle 'Clavey´s Dwarf' are dark green, blue-green, ovate and opposite. They are about 4 - 6 cm in size. Fly honeysuckle 'Clavey´s Dwarf' turns bright yellow in autumn.

Bark

Grey bark makes this plant an eye-catcher in any garden.

Flower

The creamy white, lip-shaped flowers appear from May to June. They are pleasantly fragrant.

Fruit

The dark red, round fruits of Lonicera xylosteum 'Clavey´s Dwarf' are particularly decorative. These appear from September.

Root

Lonicera xylosteum 'Clavey´s Dwarf' is a shallow-rooting plant and, depending on the soil, forms densely branched roots.

Location

Preferred location in a sunny to shady position.

Care
