The Honeysuckle 'Dropmore Scarlet' (Lonicera x brownii) is a climbing, climbing deciduous plant that produces orange-red, tubular flowers. They appear from June to September. With the right care, the Honeysuckle 'Dropmore Scarlet' will flower again in October. These produce red fruits. The Honeysuckle 'Dropmore Scarlet' also bears roundish, dark green leaves. In a sunny to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 5 metres and grows to around 2 metres wide.

Growth

Honeysuckle 'Dropmore Scarlet' is a climbing plant that can reach a height of 2 - 5 m and a width of 1.5 - 2 m. Slow-growing. It usually grows 10 - 30 cm per year.

The shoots of Lonicera x brownii 'Dropmore Scarlet' are blue-green in colour.
