Photinia fraseri 'Red Robin'

Christmas berry 'Red Robin' is an upright, loose-growing shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.5 - 3 m and is approx. 1.5 - 3 m wide. It usually grows 20 - 50 cm per year.

High leaf ornamental value. The evergreen leaves of the Christmas berry 'Red Robin' are dark green, lanceolate, glossy, alternate, serrated. They are about 8 - 12 cm in size. Red shoots.

The white flowers appear from May to June.

Photinia fraseri 'Red Robin' is a shallow-rooting plant and, depending on the soil, forms finely branched roots.

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected position.

The Christmas berry 'Red Robin' has good frost hardiness.

The plant has a medium water requirement.

- Cut back frozen shoots to the healthy wood as soon as there is no longer any danger of frost.

Pruning, ideally in July, is advisable for this plant.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
