The Bhutan pine (Pinus wallichiana) is a large tree that grows broad and pyramidal and usually reaches a height of around 30 metres and a width of around 10 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are blue-green in colour. This shrub is well tolerant of frost. It prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny, sheltered position.
