The Loebner's Magnolia 'Merrill' (Magnolia x loebneri) is an upright, multi-stemmed large shrub that produces white, star-shaped flowers with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from April to May. The Loebner's Magnolia 'Merrill' also has egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with humus-rich, lime-free, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 8 metres and grows to around 6 metres wide.
