The Loebner's Magnolia 'Leonard Messel' (Magnolia x loebneri) is a large, multi-stemmed shrub that produces light pink, star-shaped flowers with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from April to May. The Loebner's Magnolia 'Leonard Messel' also has egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with humus-rich, lime-free, loose, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 5 metres and grows to around 6 metres wide.
