The deciduous leaves of Chinese red birch are greenish-yellow, ovate, alternate. They are about 4 - 7 cm in size. Chinese red birch turns a bright golden yellow in autumn.

Copper-brown, rolling, shiny bark makes this plant an eye-catcher in any garden.

The greenish-yellow flowers of Chinese red birch appear in catkins in April.

Betula albosinensis is a shallow-rooted plant and, depending on the soil, forms densely branched roots.

Preferred location in a sunny position.

The Chinese red birch has good frost hardiness.
