The Chinese red birch (Betula albosinensis) is a broad, pyramidal small tree that produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in catkins. They appear in April. These produce light brown fruits. The Chinese red birch also has egg-shaped, greenish-yellow leaves. Its bark is copper-brown, rolling and shiny. In a sunny location, it usually reaches a height of approx. 10 m and is approx. 6 m wide. The Chinese red birch makes no special demands on the soil.
