Those who had already planted pots and bowls here in the spring mostly opted for pansies, primroses, and other colorful flowering plants. These are often still very beautiful in May, and it's no pleasure to tear them out. If you have space, you don't need to dispose of them; instead, you can plant them in your garden. They will look lovely in beds for a long time, and with a bit of luck, the seeds will fall out and produce new plants for the following year. This solves two questions at once, and the redesign of the terrace is as assured as the initial planting of the beds. For those who acquired tulip bulbs in the spring, there's a special piece of advice: even if the heads have already withered, the foliage should only be cut back when the above-ground parts of the plant have completely lost their color. Because as long as fresh green still shines, the underground bulb can still gather energy reserves for the next season.
