The Buttercup witch hazel (Corylopsis pauciflora) is a bushy, broad, overhanging small shrub that produces light yellow, bell-shaped flowers. They appear from March to April. The Buttercup witch hazel also has heart-shaped, light green leaves. The copper-brown shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 2 metres and grows to a width of approx. 2 metres.
