The St John's wort 'Hidcote' (Hypericum patulum) is a roundish small shrub that produces golden yellow, bowl-shaped flowers. They appear from July to October. The St John's wort 'Hidcote' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 1.5 metres and grows to around 1 metre wide.

St John's wort 'Hidcote' is a small shrub with a rounded habit. It usually reaches a height of 0.8 - 1.5 m and is approx. 0.6 - 1 m wide. It usually grows 30 - 40 cm per year.

The wintergreen leaves of the St John's wort 'Hidcote's are dark green, ovate and opposite. They are about 4 - 5 cm in size.

Flower

The golden-yellow, cup-shaped flowers appear from July to October. They are about 5 - 7 cm in size.
