The Winter creeper 'Coloratus' (Euonymus fortunei) is a climbing, creeping shrub with decorative, pink-orange fruits. It produces greenish-yellow flowers from June to July. The Winter creeper 'Coloratus' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to around 1 metre wide.

Growth

Winter creeper 'Coloratus' is a climbing and creeping shrub. It usually reaches a height of 0.5 - 3 m and is approx. 0.8 - 1 m wide. It usually grows 20 - 25 cm per year.

The evergreen leaves of the Winter creeper 'Coloratus' are dark green, ovate and opposite. They are about 3 - 7 cm in size. Winter creeper 'Coloratus' turns bright purple-red in autumn.

Flower

The greenish-yellow flowers appear from June to July.

Fruit

The pink-orange fruits of Euonymus fortunei 'Coloratus' are particularly decorative. These appear from October.

Euonymus fortunei 'Coloratus' is a shallow-rooting plant and, depending on the soil, forms finely branched roots.
