The Red osier dogwood 'Flaviramea' (Cornus sericea) is an upright, spreading shrub with decorative, white, round fruits. In May, it produces creamy white flowers arranged in umbrella clusters. The Red osier dogwood 'Flaviramea' also has lanceolate, medium-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to around 3 metres wide. The Red osier dogwood 'Flaviramea' makes no special demands on the soil.

Growth

Red osier dogwood 'Flaviramea' is an upright and spreading shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.5 - 3 m and is approx. 1.5 - 3 m wide. It usually grows 30 - 50 cm per year.

The deciduous leaves of the Red osier dogwood 'Flaviramea's are medium green, lanceolate and opposite. They are about 5 - 10 cm in size. Red osier dogwood 'Flaviramea' turns bright red in autumn.

Bark

Greenish-yellow bark makes this plant an eye-catcher in any garden.

Flower

The creamy white flowers of Red osier dogwood 'Flaviramea' appear in umbrella clusters in May.

Care
