The Barberry 'Parkjuweel' (Berberis x media) is a dense, overhanging shrub with decorative, black, elongated fruits. It produces yellow flowers from May to June. The Barberry 'Parkjuweel' also has glossy, dark green leaves. In a sunny to shady location, it usually reaches a height of around 2.5 metres and grows to around 4 metres wide. The Barberry 'Parkjuweel' makes no particular demands on the soil.

Growth

Barberry 'Parkjuweel' is a dense, overhanging shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.5 - 2.5 m and is approx. 1.5 - 4 m wide.

Shoots

The shoots of Berberis x media 'Parkjuweel' are spiny.

Leaves

The winter-green leaves of the Barberry 'Parkjuweel' are dark green, glossy. They are about 2 - 4 cm in size.

Bark

Red-brown bark makes this plant an eye-catcher in any garden.

Flower

The yellow flowers appear from May to June.

Fruit

The black, elongated fruits of Berberis x media 'Parkjuweel' are particularly decorative. These appear from August.

Densely branched.
