The Winged spindle (Euonymus alatus) is a spreading, broad shrub with decorative, orange-red fruits. It produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in clusters from May to June. The Winged spindle also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to a width of around 4.5 metres.
