The Flowering quince 'Crimson and Gold' (Chaenomeles x superba) is a dense, flat small shrub that produces dark red flowers. They appear from April to May. These produce golden yellow fruits. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1.6 metres. The Flowering quince 'Crimson and Gold' makes no particular demands on the soil.
