The Chinese juniper 'Blue Alps' (Juniperus chinensis) is a shrub that grows bushy and upright and usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and a width of around 3 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves have a silvery colour. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny position.

Chinese juniper 'Blue Alps' is a bushy, upright-growing shrub with an opaque crown. It usually reaches a height of 2.5 - 4 m and is approx. 0.2 - 3 m wide. Slow-growing.

Very ornamental. The Chinese juniper 'Blue Alps' is evergreen. Its needles are silvery, prickly.
