The Common ivy 'Woerner' (Hedera helix) is a climbing, creeping garden plant with decorative, black fruits. It produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in umbels from September to October. The Common ivy 'Woerner' also has leathery, heart-shaped, dark green, white-veined leaves. In a semi-shady to shady location with humusy, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and grows to a width of approx. 5 metres.

Common ivy 'Woerner' is climbing and creeping in structure. It usually grows 30 - 50 cm per year.

The evergreen leaves of Common ivy 'Woerner' are dark green, white-veined, heart-shaped, leathery, alternate, lobed. They are about 5 - 12 cm in size.

Flower

The greenish-yellow flowers of the Common ivy 'Woerner' appear in umbels from September to October.

Fruit

The black fruits of Hedera helix 'Woerner' are particularly decorative. These appear from March.

Root

Hedera helix 'Woerner' is a heartroot and, depending on the soil, forms densely branched roots.
