The Common ivy 'Goldheart' (Hedera helix) is a climbing, creeping garden plant that produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in umbels. They appear from September to October. These produce blue fruits from March. The Common ivy 'Goldheart' also has leathery, heart-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with humusy, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 6 metres and grows to around 2 metres wide.

Growth

Common ivy 'Goldheart' is climbing and creeping in structure. It usually grows 20 - 30 cm per year.

The evergreen leaves of the Common ivy 'Goldheart' are dark green, heart-shaped, leathery, alternate, lobed. They are about 5 - 12 cm in size.

Flower

The greenish-yellow flowers of the Common ivy 'Goldheart' appear in umbels from September to October.

Root

Hedera helix 'Goldheart' is a heartroot and, depending on the soil, forms densely branched roots.

Location

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.
