The White dogwood 'Kesselringii' (Cornus alba) is an upright, vigorous shrub with decorative, white, round fruits. It produces white flowers arranged in umbels from May to June. The White dogwood 'Kesselringii' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. The bronze-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 5 metres.

White dogwood 'Kesselringii' is an upright and vigorous growing shrub. It usually reaches a height of 3 - 5 m and is approx. 3 - 5 m wide. It usually grows 40 - 50 cm per year.

The deciduous leaves of the White dogwood 'Kesselringii's are dark green, ovate and opposite. They are about 4 - 8 cm in size. Bronze-coloured shoots. White dogwood 'Kesselringii' turns bright yellow in autumn.

Care

To maintain the intensive bark colouring in winter, all shoots older than three years are removed in spring before budding. If the entire shrub is old and withered, it is best to cut it back completely 10 to 20 cm above the ground.

Planting time

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
