The Witch hazel 'Westerstede' (Hamamelis x intermedia) is an upright, funnel-shaped shrub that produces yellow flowers. They appear from February to March. These produce brown fruits. The Witch hazel 'Westerstede' also has egg-shaped, medium green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to around 3 metres wide.

Growth

Witch hazel 'Westerstede' is an upright, funnel-shaped shrub with an opaque crown. It usually reaches a height of 2 - 3 m and is approx. 2 - 3 m wide.

Leaves

The deciduous leaves of the Witch hazel 'Westerstede' are medium green, ovate, toothed. They are about 10 - 15 cm tall. Witch hazel 'Westerstede' turns bright yellow-red in autumn.

Flower

The yellow flowers appear from February to March.

Root

Hamamelis x intermedia 'Westerstede' is a shallow-rooting plant.
