The Witch hazel 'Ruby Glow' (Hamamelis x intermedia) is an upright, spreading large shrub that produces red flowers with a light fragrance. They appear from January to February. These produce brown fruits. They exude a light fragrance. The Witch hazel 'Ruby Glow' also has egg-shaped, medium green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to around 3 metres wide.

Growth

Witch hazel 'Ruby Glow' is an upright and spreading large shrub. It usually reaches a height of 2 - 4 m and is approx. 1.5 - 3 m wide.

Leaves

The deciduous leaves of the Witch hazel 'Ruby Glow' are medium green, egg-shaped. They are about 10 - 15 cm in size. Witch hazel 'Ruby Glow' turns bright orange-red in autumn.

Flower

The red flowers appear from January to February. These are slightly fragrant.

Root

Hamamelis x intermedia 'Ruby Glow' is a deep-rooting plant and, depending on the soil, forms finely branched roots.
