The Common amelanchier (Amelanchier ovalis) is a loose, branched shrub that produces white flowers. They appear from April to May. These produce dark blue, round fruits from August. The Common amelanchier also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. The white shoots are also an interesting sight. Its bark is grey.
