The Bean's broom (Cytisus x beanii) is a flat, creeping garden plant that produces yellow, butterfly-shaped flowers with a pleasant fragrance. They appear in May. The Bean's broom also has hairy, lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 60 cm and grows to around 1 m wide.
