The Bearberry cotoneaster 'Eichholz' (Cotoneaster dammeri) is a dense, flat dwarf shrub with decorative, orange-red, round fruits. It produces white, cup-shaped flowers from May to June. The Bearberry cotoneaster 'Eichholz' also has shiny, roundish, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and is approx. 80 cm wide.

Growth

Bearberry cotoneaster 'Eichholz' is a dense and flat-growing dwarf shrub. It usually reaches a height of 20 - 30 cm and grows to a width of approx. 60 - 80 cm. It usually grows 10 - 40 cm per year.

The evergreen leaves of the Bearberry cotoneaster 'Eichholz' are dark green, roundish, glossy and alternate. They are about 1.5 - 2 cm in size.

Flower

The white, cup-shaped flowers appear from May to June.

Fruit

The orange-red, round berries of Cotoneaster dammeri 'Eichholz' are particularly decorative. These appear from August.

Root

Cotoneaster dammeri 'Eichholz' is a shallow-rooted or heart-rooted plant and, depending on the soil, forms sparsely branched roots.

Location

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.
