The Creeping cotoneaster (Cotoneaster adpressus) is a creeping, branching dwarf shrub with decorative, red, oval fruits. It produces pink-coloured flowers in June. The Creeping cotoneaster also has egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and is approx. 1 m wide. The Creeping cotoneaster makes no special demands on the soil.

Creeping cotoneaster is a creeping and branching dwarf shrub. It usually reaches a height of 20 - 30 cm and is approx. 0.6 - 1 m wide.

The deciduous leaves of the Creeping cotoneaster are medium green, ovate, alternate, wavy. They are about 0.5 - 1.5 cm in size. Creeping cotoneaster turns a bright burgundy red in autumn.

Flower

The pink-coloured flowers appear in June.

Fruit

The red, oval fruits of Cotoneaster adpressus are particularly decorative. These appear from September.

Root

Cotoneaster adpressus is a shallow-rooting plant and, depending on the soil, forms sparsely branched roots.

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.
