The Witch hazel 'Arnold Promise' (Hamamelis x intermedia) is an upright, funnel-shaped shrub that produces yellow flowers with a light fragrance. They appear from March to the beginning of April. Brown fruits emerge from these. They exude a light fragrance. The Witch hazel 'Arnold Promise' also has roundish, green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 2 metres and grows to around 3 metres wide.

Upright, funnel shaped.

Attractive yellow Red autumn colour.

Flower

The yellow flowers appear von March bis early April. They are slightly fragrant.

Location

Prefers any sheltered location with sunny or partial shade.
This is a frost resistant plant.

Normal soil.

Use

As a solitary plant, as an ornamental tree, in parks

Care

This plant should not be pruned. Only broken or diseased branches should be removed in summer.

Planting time

Container plants can be planted all year round, except during frost or summer heat (over 30°C).
