The Oriental bittersweet (Celastrus orbiculatus) is a loose, deciduous plant with decorative, yellow-red fruits. It produces inconspicuous flowers from May to June. The Oriental bittersweet also has roundish, light green leaves and usually reaches a height of approx. 12 m and a width of approx. 6 m in a sunny to semi-shady location. The Oriental bittersweet makes no particular demands on the soil.
