The Common amelanchier 'Edelweiss' (Amelanchier ovalis) is a loose, branched shrub with decorative, purple-red, round fruits. It produces white flowers from April to May. The Common amelanchier 'Edelweiss' also has egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. The bronze-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight.
