The Oregano (Origanum vulgare) is an herbaceous plant with an aromatic, spicy flavour. Its medium green leaves are egg-shaped, lanceolate and wavy, with cilia. A sunny location and well-drained, nutrient-rich soil are required for optimum growth of the Oreganos.

Care

Too much fertiliser harms the aroma of herbs! Herbs are well cared for in planters if they are given herb fertiliser once in spring. When planted out in the garden, a dose of compost at the start of the season is sufficient.
