The Butterfly bush 'Ile de France' (Buddleja davidii) is an upright, loose, funnel-shaped shrub that produces purple flowers arranged in panicles with a strong fragrance. They appear from July to September. The Butterfly bush 'Ile de France' also has lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and is around 2 metres wide.

Butterfly bush 'Ile de France' is an upright, loose and funnel-shaped shrub. It usually reaches a height of 3 - 4 m and is approx. 1.5 - 2 m wide. It usually grows 0.4 - 1.2 m per year.

Leaves

The deciduous leaves of the Butterfly bush 'Ile de France's are dark green, lanceolate and opposite. They are about 10 - 20 cm tall.

Flower

The purple flowers of the Butterfly bush 'Ile de France' appear in panicles from July to September. They grow to about 30 - 50 cm tall and are strongly scented.
