The Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) is an herbaceous plant with an aromatic flavour. Its light green leaves are egg-shaped and serrated. A sunny location and well-drained, nutrient-rich soil are required for the optimal growth of Lemon balm.

Care

Too much fertiliser harms the aroma of herbs! Herbs are well cared for in planters if they are given herb fertiliser once in spring. When planted out in the garden, a dose of compost at the start of the season is sufficient.
