The Common wayfaring tree (Viburnum lantana) is a funnel-shaped shrub or large shrub with decorative, black-red, oval fruits. These exude a light fragrance. In May, it produces creamy white flowers arranged in umbrella clusters. The Common wayfaring tree also has hairy, egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of around 5 metres and grows to a width of around 5 metres.

Common wayfaring tree is a funnel-shaped shrub or large shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.5 - 5 m and is approx. 1.5 - 5 m wide.

Shoots

The shoots of Viburnum lantana are tomentose, grey.

The deciduous leaves of the Common wayfaring trees are medium green, ovate, hairy, opposite. They are about 8 - 12 cm tall. Common wayfaring tree turns bright yellow in autumn.

Flower

The black-red, oval stone fruits of Viburnum lantana are particularly decorative. These appear from August.

Care
