The Small-flowered tamarisk (Tamarix parviflora) is a loose, overhanging large shrub that produces light pink-coloured flowers arranged in clusters. They appear from May to June. These produce light brown fruits. The Small-flowered tamarisk also has scaly, medium green leaves. Its bark is dark brown. In a sunny location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 3 metres.

Central Asia to south-east Europe.

Growth

Small-flowered tamarisk is a large shrub that grows loosely and overhanging. It usually reaches a height of 3 - 5 m and is approx. 2 - 3 m wide.

The deciduous leaves of Small-flowered tamarisk are medium green, scale-like. Small-flowered tamarisk turns bright yellow-red in autumn.

Dark brown bark makes this plant an eye-catcher in any garden.
