The Lilac 'Superba' (Syringa microphylla) is a bushy, dense small shrub that produces pink-coloured flowers arranged in panicles with a strong fragrance. They appear from May to June. With the right care, the Lilac 'Superba' will flower again in October. The Lilac 'Superba' also has lanceolate, medium green leaves. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to around 3 metres wide.

The deciduous leaves of the Lilac 'Superba's are medium green, lanceolate, opposite. They are about 1 - 4 cm in size.

Flower

The pink-coloured flowers of the Lilac 'Superba' appear in panicles from May to June. They are strongly scented. With the right care, re-flowering in October.

Preferred location in a sunny, sheltered position.
