The Japanese spiraea 'Anthony Waterer' (Spiraea japonica) is a compact, upright, dense small shrub that produces magenta-coloured flowers arranged in umbels. They appear from July to September. The Japanese spiraea 'Anthony Waterer' also has lanceolate, light green leaves. The red shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and is approx. 80 cm wide.
