Butterfly bush 'Black Knight' is an upright, loose and funnel-shaped shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.5 - 2 m and is approx. 3 - 4 m wide. It usually grows 0.4 - 1.2 m per year.

The deciduous leaves of the Butterfly bush 'Black Knight's are dark green, lanceolate and opposite. They are about 10 - 20 cm tall.

The purple flowers of the Butterfly bush 'Black Knight' appear in panicles from July to October. They grow to around 20 - 30 cm tall and are strongly scented.

Close to the surface.

Preferred location in a sunny position.
