The False acacia 'Frisia' (Robinia pseudoacacia) is a roundish, upright small tree with decorative, brown, pod-shaped fruits that remain on the tree for a very long time. These exude a strong fragrance. It produces white flowers arranged in clusters from the end of May to the beginning of June. The False acacia 'Frisia' also has pinnate, yellow-green leaves. The orange-yellow shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, loose, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 8 metres.

Leaves

High ornamental foliage value. The deciduous leaves of False acacia 'Frisia' are yellow-green, pinnate, alternate. Orange-yellow, late shoots. False acacia 'Frisia' turns bright golden yellow in autumn.

Bark

Light brown, net-like torn bark makes this plant an eye-catcher in any garden.

Flower

The white flowers of False acacia 'Frisia' appear in clusters from the end of May to the beginning of June. They are strongly scented.

Fruit

The brown, pod-shaped fruits of Robinia pseudoacacia 'Frisia' are particularly decorative. These appear from September. Very long-lasting.
