The Beach pine (Pinus contorta) is a tree that grows in a conical, picturesque shape and usually reaches a height of around 20 metres and a width of around 8 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are dark green in colour. Decorative light brown cones adorn Pinus contorta from October. This shrub tolerates frost well. It prefers a sunny location. The Beach pine makes no special demands on the soil.
