The Japanese andromeda 'Forest Flame' (Pieris japonica) is a bushy, broad shrub that produces white flowers arranged in panicles. They appear from March to May. These produce light brown, round fruits from August. The Japanese andromeda 'Forest Flame' also bears shiny, lanceolate, dark green leaves. The red shoots are also an interesting sight. Its bark is reddish-brown, torn in strips. In a semi-shady to shady, wind-protected location with humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 2 metres and grows to a width of approx. 2 metres.

Japanese andromeda 'Forest Flame' is a bushy and broad-growing shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.5 - 2 m and is approx. 1.5 - 2 m wide. Slow growing.
