The Flowering currant 'Atrorubens' (Ribes sanguineum) is a bushy, upright shrub with decorative, black fruits. It produces purple-red flowers arranged in clusters from April to May. The Flowering currant 'Atrorubens' also has roundish, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of around 2 metres and is around 2 metres wide.
