The Japanese andromeda 'Debutante' (Pieris japonica) is a bushy, broad, compact small shrub that produces white flowers arranged in panicles. They appear from March to May. These produce light brown, round fruits from August. The Japanese andromeda 'Debutante' also has shiny, lanceolate, dark green leaves. Its bark is reddish-brown and fissured in strips. In a semi-shady to shady, wind-protected location with humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1.5 metres.

Japanese andromeda 'Debutante' is a bushy, broad and compact small shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1 - 1.5 m and grows approx. 1 - 1.5 m wide. Slow growing. Usually grows 10 - 15 cm per year.
