The Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) is a climbing, deciduous plant with decorative, blue, round fruits. It produces creamy white flowers arranged in panicles from June to August. The Virginia creeper also has fingered, dark green leaves. In a sunny to shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 12 metres and is around 3 metres wide.

Virginia creeper is a climbing plant that can reach a height of 10 - 12 metres and a width of 2 - 3 metres. It usually grows 0.4 - 1 m per year.

The deciduous leaves of the Virginia creepers are dark green, fingered and alternate. They are about 8 - 10 cm in size. Virginia creeper turns bright scarlet red in autumn.

Flower

The creamy white flowers of Virginia creeper appear in panicles from June to August.

The blue, round fruits of Parthenocissus quinquefolia are particularly decorative. These appear from September.
