The Alpine clematis 'Frances Rivis' (Clematis alpina) is a creeping, climbing, deciduous plant with decorative, silver-white fruits. It produces blue, bell-shaped flowers from April to June. The Alpine clematis 'Frances Rivis' also has pinnate, medium green leaves. In a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to a width of around 1.5 metres.
