The Halberd willow 'Wehrhahnii' (Salix hastata) is a bushy, stocky small shrub that produces silvery-white or yellow flowers arranged in catkins. They appear from April to May. The Halberd willow 'Wehrhahnii' also has hairy, egg-shaped, dark green leaves. Its bark is red-brown in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.25 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1.5 metres.

Growth

Halberd willow 'Wehrhahnii' is a bushy and compact small shrub. It usually reaches a height of 0.75 - 1.25 m and is approx. 0.75 - 1.5 m wide. Slow growing. Usually grows 10 - 20 cm per year.
