The Whitebeam (Sorbus aria) is a conical small tree with decorative, orange-red, round fruits. It produces white flowers arranged in umbrella clusters from May to June. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of around 18 metres and grows to a width of around 12 metres.

The white flowers of Whitebeam appear in umbrella clusters from May to June. These grow to around 4 - 5 cm in size.

The orange-red, round fruits of Sorbus aria are particularly decorative. These appear from September.

Sorbus aria is a heartroot.

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.
