The Crab apple 'Profusion' (Malus x moerlandsii) is an upright, branched large shrub with decorative, dark red, round fruits. These are small. It produces pink, cup-shaped flowers from May to June. The Crab apple 'Profusion' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. The red-brown shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, loose, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 8 metres and grows to around 5 metres wide.
